The Story

My wife and I were married in 2002. As the years went on, many of the older members of my family passed away, and I was never very close to others. My wife's family quickly became my family. So many wonderful people!

Her parents bought a property on a lake in Southern Minnesota. They started building their last home there together. Many of us pitched in and helped build this home. It was really a big family project. There was plenty of fishing and swimming in between the work!

Every 4th of July, as much of the family would gather there for good food and celebration. Not being near and cities, the night sky was always stunning to see. The aurora, meteor showers, just the most beautiful skies full of stars.

The date I selected for my ChronoAstra watch, July 4th 2006, was one of the best times we had a large group there to gather. It was also one of the last times my father-in-law was still healthy. A few years later, he passed away.

My mother-in-law still lives there, and we do still gather for the 4th, but it's not usually as many of the family making it. She may have to sell the property for health reasons, and I wanted something to help me remember the time and place. The ChronoAstra watch was the perfect family heirloom to hold those memories.
