Close to my granddad

The moment I was born, everyone said I looked like my granddad. He and I had a special bond. We played chess together and I had the same character he had.

If my granddad had enough of something or just wanted to end a discussion he would say "sloes aus" which translates roughly in to over and done with. I always keep that in mind for discussions, but mainly when I have a bad day and want to complain about my life I tell myself sloes aus. Like stop complaining.

My granddad died a long time ago but is still there in my mind to advice and counsel me.
